OrbitMI Unveils Ship Reporting Analysis
OrbitMI has launched a new Ship Reporting Analysis, a structured assessment that enables ship owners and operators to evaluate how closely their vessel reports align with industry reporting standards. This tool identifies data gaps that impact compliance, operational efficiency, and the accuracy of performance and emissions reporting.
As maritime workflows increasingly rely on consistent data, even minor reporting discrepancies can delay compliance, lead to manual rework, and undermine optimization models. The assessment provides operators with clear insights into their reporting quality and highlights areas where targeted improvements will deliver the greatest value.
The Ship Reporting Analysis includes a structured review of noon reports, voyage data, bunker inputs, and other critical operational areas. It compares current reporting practices against OVD standards and identifies missing or inconsistent data. Additionally, it offers practical recommendations and insights on how standardized data can enhance compliance and operational decision-making.
"Standards are more critical than ever," said Alexandre Lapointe, Chief Product Officer at OrbitMI. "The industry is entering an era of connected maritime, where vessels and shoreside teams collaborate through shared data and interconnected workflows. High-quality data builds trust throughout the voyage lifecycle. Even small corrections can reduce friction and improve decision-making. This assessment provides operators with a clear focus for improvement."
